Klamath Falls is a great spring board for access to two of Southern Oregon's wildest drives, from the open range and expansive deserts of the Oregon Outback Scenic Byway, a 171-mile route that starts east of town, to the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway, a 140-mile trip that takes in Crater Lake National Park, two wildlife refuges, Fort Klamath and an assortment of other sights, both cultural and natural.
