As one of Nebraska's biggest cities, Omaha has its share of urban sprawl, but spend a little time in town and find museums, pleasant parks, plenty of places to tuck into for an Omaha steak and somewhat unexpectedly, an indoor rainforest.
From rocky bluffs above Blackjack Cave to the campground under the Ponderosa pine and oak trees, everyone can find something of interest. Blackjack Campground is located about 10 miles east the New Mexico State Line. Shortly after crossing into New Mexico, you pass through the area known as Mule Creek and enter into some beautiful rolling grasslands. Keep an eye open for antelope in this area. Tents, trailers and motorhomes up to 16 foot are allowed.
