As one of Nebraska's biggest cities, Omaha has its share of urban sprawl, but spend a little time in town and find museums, pleasant parks, plenty of places to tuck into for an Omaha steak and somewhat unexpectedly, an indoor rainforest.
With a total of 26 sites only 50 yards from the shoreline this campground is popular among anglers. Vault toilets and water are available, and site 16 is accessible to persons with disabilities. North Cove Campground is five miles from the marina and is $12 a night in addition to parks pass.
A unique feature of the North Cove campground is a small group camping area that can accommodate up to five camping units and 30 people. Call the park office at (970) 354-7306 to reserve the group area. To check availability on the Group Camping Area, go to Park Info and click on Group Camping Reservation Calendar to view it.
