As one of Nebraska's biggest cities, Omaha has its share of urban sprawl, but spend a little time in town and find museums, pleasant parks, plenty of places to tuck into for an Omaha steak and somewhat unexpectedly, an indoor rainforest.
This is considered a borderline high elevation lake. It is easily accessible with a short hike to the lake from the trailhead. Due to the ease of access, this lake is very popular within the Summer months. The ease of access lends this small lake to be fished with a light-weight inflatable raft. The alpine setting is typical of a North Cascade lake here in western Washington State.
