The lower Methow is the antithesis to its upstream relative, a calm and placid section of meandering waters featuring excellent wildlife viewing. The lower Methow’s waters wind past meadows, open forests and orchards populated by eagles, deer and heron.

The town of Mazama sits along the banks of the lower Methow as it flows to its confluence with the Columbia River and single day trips are commercially available upon this stretch.
