As one of Nebraska's biggest cities, Omaha has its share of urban sprawl, but spend a little time in town and find museums, pleasant parks, plenty of places to tuck into for an Omaha steak and somewhat unexpectedly, an indoor rainforest.
The Moyie River is a short river at the very northernmost point of Idaho. During a brief season in mid-summer, rafters can take an exciting full day trip through intermediate level rapids as the river tumbles down from the Moyie and Purcell mountains in Canada. Osprey, songbirds, and ducks are frequent sights along this pristine route through cedar forest, and sometimes larger animals such as moose and bears can be seen.
After traveling 15 miles and losing almost 500 feet in altitude, the Moyie joins the Kootenai River, on its way towards an eventual merge with the Columbia.
