Route 280—Father Junipero Serra Freeway travels a valley created by the San Andreas Fault. The entire drive is a sort of moving picture, with forest and wooded hillsides passing in the foreground with mountains and lakes for backdrop.
Route 280—Father Junipero Serra Freeway begins at the Santa Clara County line on I-280 and travels to the city limits of San Bruno.
There are several historical attractions along the way as well as assorted trail heads.
