Description

One of only a handful of rivers commercially rafted within Olympic National Park, a trip down the Sol Duc presents a unique way to experience the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest rainforest.

Sol Duc, native American for ‘sparkling water’, is an apt name for the clear waters of the river, fed by rainwater and flowing without interruption to the Pacific Ocean.

The Sol Duc offers exciting intermediate whitewater drops through boulder choked rapids, interspaced with serene green pools. Wildlife is plentiful along the Sol Duc, with frequent Bald Eagle, deer, steelhead and salmon sightings.
